Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to say hi, I'm now going to be more active on this here board thing.
Had a hard time signing in for the longest time, so I just sorta quit. But now I am giving up quitting for good!

We had an awesome tour with Torche and Helms Alee. I'm very excited to be home and rested up. I think Scott gets home from 400 Blows tour tomorrow, so hopefully we can get started on some new jams before we head to the EU with Melvins. After he gets some naps in, of course.

Anyway, lots of exciting new stuff on the way, I'll be checking in during the coming weeks, and while I'm on tour.

please keep the questions coming!

question: has your dog forgiven you yet for abandoning him all by his lonesome for months on end?

It's a damn fine question - bet he's still giving you the look.

question: what's up with this here Gold Metal label? Are you going to be releasing all Big Biz on there now? I never really understand how it works better to release your own stuff (other than ownership and such advantages).

Well, my dogs and I skype all the time, so it's like I'm there with them!

The Gold Metal label is our attempt to do things the way we want to do them. Until something that makes more sense comes along, we plan on releasing Big Biz records through Gold Metal. Record labels do have their advantages, but with our own label, we can budget, market, press and distribute our records in any way we see fit. Also, we don't have to split whatever money that comes back in with a label, which gives us a little more leeway towards making a profit and furthering the next project. It's a lot of extra work for sure, and we'll probably screw up here and there, but it's very satisfying to know we're finally in charge!

plus you have poor-loser fans like us who are more than willing to lend whatever means possible to distribution, advertising and the like. :)

heck.. I just shipped a QUAD SINGLE vinyl all the way to Norway for a user here. fella by the name of RADMAN. It appears as though domestic record stores are reluctant to ship over seas.

POINT BEING: if anyone here outside the US needs a QUAD SINGLE PM me.
A little paypal, a little packaging, a sharpie to rewrite addresses and YOU are now in the possession of your very own BIZ vinyl.

anyway.. back to the subject:

QUESTION:

dear coady,
has there ever been a moment in your career that you actually showed mercy to your drum kit? or ANY drum kit for that matter?

Jared---

I'd like to know which songs you use your POG on. I saw it on your pedal board on this tour, but I was to busy rocking to see when it was used.

Thanks!
